Everything you need before your visit
A calm, clear guide to preparing for your consultation — and honest answers to the questions patients ask most, so you arrive relaxed, informed and ready to heal.
A little preparation goes a long way
A little preparation helps your physician read your body clearly and makes your visit more effective. In Ayurveda, Ahara (diet) and daily routine strongly influence diagnosis — so please keep the following in mind before your appointment or therapy.
Please do
Come prepared
- Come on a light stomach — avoid a heavy meal in the 2 hours before a pulse (Naadi) reading.
- Stay well hydrated with plain water on the day of your visit.
- Carry any recent medical reports, prescriptions and a list of current medicines.
- Note down your main concerns, symptoms and their timeline beforehand.
- Wear comfortable, loose clothing, especially if therapies are planned.
- Rest well the night before — sleep and stress affect the pulse.
Best avoided
Steer clear of
- Strong stimulants — coffee, tea or energy drinks — just before a pulse reading.
- Alcohol the night before your consultation or any therapy.
- Heavy, oily or very spicy meals right before your visit.
- Vigorous exercise immediately before a Naadi Pariksha reading.
- Smoking shortly before the appointment.
Planning a Panchakarma cleanse?
Ahara directivesIf a multi-day detox (Panchakarma) is planned, you will receive specific Ahara (diet) and lifestyle directives for the days before, during and after — the post-care phase is as important as the cleanse itself.
Treatments & Therapies
Every plan begins with a consultation and Naadi Pariksha (pulse diagnosis) with Dr. Uppoor. Your constitution (Prakriti), present imbalances (Vikriti), age and lifestyle are assessed before any therapy is chosen — nothing is one-size-fits-all.
Medicines & Safety
Your safety comes first. Please share your full medical history and any medication you are taking.
Often, yes — Ayurvedic care is frequently integrative. Dr. Uppoor reviews your existing prescriptions to avoid cross-interactions and will never ask you to stop prescribed medicines abruptly. Always disclose everything you are taking.
Appointments, Fees & Online Consults
Consultation fees differ for in-clinic and online tele-consultations and are shown clearly when you book. Therapy and programme costs are explained transparently after your diagnosis.
